The bundle

Everything we build is BCY. You pick which, and it costs the same either way — it's a performance choice, not an upsell. Most shops decide for you. We'd rather ask.

BCY 452Xtra — 67% SK75 Dyneema / 33% Vectran

The industry standard, and what most premium strings in North America are built on. That high Vectran content is what makes it exceptionally stable: it holds length and it holds a peep. BCY upgraded the Vectran in July 2024 for much higher abrasion resistance, which took away the one thing people used to hold against it.

Best for: target, 3D, and anyone who tunes once and leaves it alone.

BCY X‑99 — 80% SK99 Dyneema / 20% Vectran

The newer material. Less Vectran but far better Dyneema, so you keep most of the stability and gain speed, and it stays cleaner over a season.

Best for: hunting setups, and anyone chasing a few more feet per second.

Roughly 60% of what we build is 452Xtra and 40% is X‑99. Speckled colours are available in 452Xtra only — BCY doesn't make them in X‑99, and the builder will hide them if you switch.

The servings

Servings are matched to the job rather than run off one spool for convenience.

  • BCY Halo .007″ on loop servings — fine enough to serve tight without building the loop up.
  • BCY 3D on the end loops, for its resistance to string twist.
  • BCY Halo on yokes where the application calls for it.
  • BCY Powergrip on centre servings — tightly braided spectra and nylon yarn that resists centre serving separation.

The process

Prestretched to 375 lb

Every string is stretched to 375 lb before it comes off the jig. That is why there's no break‑in period, and why your peep still sits where you set it after the first fifty shots — the string has finished moving before you get it.

It is also why we can put a six‑month warranty on peep rotation and creep. Those are the two failures prestretch exists to prevent, and if the process didn't work you would know inside a few weeks.

Every string is tensioned to the same poundage before measurements are taken to ensure exacting tolerance.
